Kaohsiung is my
home town, my family used to live in Taichung, but because of my father’s work,
so they moved to Kaohsiung when I still was in my mother’s belly.
Kaohsiung is a prosperous
city, you can see department store, tall building, MRT, bus, many motorcycles, night
market… . A lot of people say people in Kaohsiung are very passionate, people will be happy to help you without complain, it is a good place, you can really feel the affability.
This big city was
my whole world when I was like in 5 or 7 years old after I came back from
Canada, it was all new things to me, I even can’t speak Chinese fluently, so I
had to learn more Chinese and Taiwanese, but it was quite complicated to me, and I was always
asking my mom when I could go back to Canada every single day.
I didn’t feel this was the place I had to live for a very
long long time, I still wanted to go back to the house in Canada. If I was
alone, I can’t really understood what are people said to me in Chinese or Taiwanese, and I would feel anxious
and nervous, I still keep asking my mom the same question. My dad just told me,
I had to stay in Kaohsiung until I get into college, then I knew I really had
to stay in this place, but I get used quickly, I made lots of friends in
school, I felt comfortable and happy.
